Controversy As AGF Malami Responds To 'Fake Consultant' Who RaidedJustice Odili's Residence

Nigeria's Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, has reacted to claims by a 'fake police officer' arrested in connection with the raid at Justice Mary Odili's residence in Maitama area of the Federal Capital Territory.
Daily Trust reports that Malami in a statement released on Thursday, November 11, distanced himself from the acclaimed chief superintendent of police, Lawrence Ajojo.
The Cable reports that the AGF described the fake police officer Ajojo as a "drowning man scavenging for a dying partner".
According to the statement, the AGF will not stoop so low to engage a quack or fake police officer as a consultant with all the available high-level professionals at his disposal.

AGF expression gratitude for the ongoing investigation on the matter
It said the office of the AGF is glad that investigation into the matter has commenced to the focus to unravel the grey areas in the incident and campaign against his person.
Police arrests Lawrence Ajojo and 13 others linked to the raid
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the police had on Thursday, November 11, arrested a man, Ajojo who claimed to be a consultant employed by the AGF to lead the raid on the residence of Justice Mary Odili.
The police in a statement said that Ajojo was arrested alongside 13 others who allegedly joined the raid of the Supreme Court judge.
An investigation by the police shows that Ajojo is a fake CSP, a journalist and an Islamic scholar parading himself as a consultant for Malami.
Also, the Supreme condemned in strong terms the raid on Justice Mary Odili's residence in Abuja on Friday, October 29.
Describing the raid as uncivilised, the Supreme Court said the impunity against the judiciary has been taken too far.
