The Anambra governor-elect, Charles Chukwuma Soludo, on Wednesday, November 10, made an outstanding speech on his victory in the just-concluded gubernatorial election.
Soludo expressed gratitude to the Almighty God and the people of the state for their immense support in the entire process.
In a statement seen by PM News, he also hailed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its conduct of the election which, in his words, "has been adjudged as the most peaceful, free, fair and credible."

But specifically, the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) took some time to remember persons who were slain at the beginning of this great journey.

He saluted the gallantry of three policemen who were killed by gunmen during a town hall meeting in his hometown in Isuofia in the Aguata local government area of the state.
The governor-elect said:
"At this moment, we must remember and will continue to remember all those who died in the course of this movement, especially the three policemen who were killed by unknown gunmen during our town hall meeting with youths in my ward.
"May God continue to grant their souls eternal rest."

Soludo speaks after winning Anambra governorship election
Meanwhile, Soludo had reacted to his victory in the just-concluded election.
Shortly after the declaration, Soludo addressed the media from Isuofia, his hometown. The APGA candidate thanked Ndi Anambra for voting for him. He also expressed gratitude to his party.

"With utmost humility and gratitude to God, I accept the result of the 2021 Anambra governorship election as declared by INEC.
"And this reflects the Supreme Will of the Almighty God and an overwhelming sacred mandate of the people.
"For 12 years since the massive clamour by the people of Anambra for us to serve them, we persevered to this divine moment."
