BREAKING: INEC Reveals When Collation of Anambra Governorship Election's Results Will Resume

Awka, Anambra state - Nkwachukwu Orji, INEC's resident electoral commissioner for the state, has said the collation of results for the Anambra state governorship election will resume at 9pm.
The Cable reported that venue is the State Collation Centre, INEC State Office, along House of Assembly Road, Awka, the state capital.
The resumption of the collation of results was announced amid the sorting and counting of votes in the ongoing supplementary election in Ihiala local government area.
Legit.ng had earlier reported the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) suspended the collation of results for the November 6 Anambra governorship election.

Professor Florence Obi, the returning officer for the election, made the declaration at INEC head office in Awka, Anambra state capital in the early hours of Monday, November 8.
She cited the disruption of the election in the Ihiala local government area of the state as the major reason for this, saying a supplementary election would hold on Tuesday, November 9.
Professor Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) had secured the highest votes cast in Saturday’s election.
PDP's Ozigbo reveals how he can still win Anambra governorship election
Meanwhile, Valentine Ozigbo, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the Anambra governorship election, has expressed optimism that he can still emerge victorious.
Although Ozigbo secured the second highest votes (51,322) in the election, he won only one of the 20 LGAs. The margin between Soludo and Ozigbo currently stands at 52,624.
Nevertheless, addressing newsmen, Ozigbo said the election battle is not yet over. According to him, there over 248,000 votes at stake in Ihiala and other places where election did not take place.
