Awka, Anambra state - Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, the governorship candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), has won in Nnewi North local government area.
This was announced on Sunday, November 7, at the head office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Awka, the state capital, where the final collation of results of the governorship election is currently ongoing.
Uba polls 6,485 votes to defeat others in the LGA.

Meanwhile, the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) is leading with wins in 18 out of the 20 LGAs where results have been announced.
The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Valentine Ozigbo, has also won an LGA.
Soludo makes first comment amid collation of results
In a related development, Soludo has made his first comment as results trickle in. The APGA candidate shared a post on his Instagram page on Sunday evening, November 7.
He shared a photo of him monitoring the results with the caption:

Anambra: INEC suspends collation of results, announces date for supplementary poll
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has suspended the collation of results for the November 6 Anambra governorship election.
Legit.ng reports that Professor Florence Obi, the returning officer for the election, made the declaration at INEC head office in Awka, Anambra state capital in the early hours of Monday, November 8.
She cited the disruption of the election in the Ihiala local government area of the state as the major reason for this, saying a supplementary election would hold on Tuesday, November 9.
