Election 2021: Soludo Finally Opens Up On Why There's Insecurity In Anambra

Charles Soludo, the governorship candidate for November 6, Anambra election has said that the insecurity in the state is politically motivated.

Soludo while speaking during the Anambra gubernatorial debate organised by Arise TV on Monday, November 1, said some political jobbers believe that fueling insecurity in the state will place them at an advantage during the election.

The former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria said:

“Most of the recent upsurge of insecurity in Anambra is politically motivated."

Continuing, Soludo alleged that his opponent from the All Progressives Congress (APC), Andy Uba, might have an answer to the recent upsurge of insecurity in the state.

Major causes of the insecurity in Anambra state

He, however, noted that while the insecurity has continued to prevail in the state, the incumbent governor, Willie Obiano, has continued to nip the challenge in the bud.

He said:

“The insecurity in Anambra is a recent phenomenon. Very recently and I think my brother on the right-hand side[Andy Uba] when he responds might be able to tell a little more about part of the reason this is happening.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Soludo had also accused the APC governorship candidate of the Anambra election of kidnapping and forgery.

Soludo also made the allegations against Andy Uba during the debate organised by Arise TV in partnership with Enough is Enough.

He said that Uba is among the people who masterminded the abduction of a sitting governor of Anambra state.

The former CBN governor in his allegation said Uba does not have a Senior School Certificate Examination result and as such never obtained a Senior School Certificate Examination result Certificate in 1974 as claimed.
