Governor Makinde Reveals PDP's Next Move Following Successful National Convention
- Governor Seyi Makinde has commended all the members of the Peoples Democratic Party for the success of the party's national convention

As the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) winds down activities in line with its just-concluded national convention, the Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde has congratulated members of the party.
Makinde who doubled as the chairman of the PDP national convention organising committee described the success witnessed at the event as a pivotal step in the party's 'Operation Rescue Nigeria' in 2023.
Commendation for members and supporters of the PDD
Speaking hours after the conclusion of the party's national convention which was monitored by Legit.ng, Makinde also congratulated the winners of the various positions within the PDP.

He commended all the party members and supporters of the PDP on the outcome of the 2021 elective national convention.
The Oyo state governor said:
"I thank everyone who contributed to making our great party, the #PDPNationalConvention2021 a resounding success!"
"Let me also congratulate all newly elected members of the National Working Committee led by our able Chairman, Senator Iyorchia Ayu."
New move for the PDP in taking charge of Nigeria
Makinde said the success of the PDP's national convention has shown the party's readiness to lead the charge of rescuing Nigeria in 2023.
He said:
"The successful conduct of our National Convention is a pivotal step in ‘Operation Rescue Nigeria’. The PDP has shown its readiness to lead the charge."
"We present a united front as we invite all well-meaning Nigerians to join our great party to rescue Nigeria."
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the publisher of Ovation Magazine, Dele Momodu, joined the PDP in the past week.
Momodu said he was convinced to join the PDP after a challenge by the party's presidential candidate in 2019, Atiku Abubakar.
According to him, he met with Atiku at the venue of the PDP national convention in Abuja where he (Atiku) told him that he understands that he wants to contest for presidency in 2023.
Momodu said Atiku further told him that they will meet in the field to slug it out ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
Also, the former governor of Osun state, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, who contested for the PDP national chairman at the party's national convention has congratulated the winner of the position, Taofeek Arapaja
Oyinola who lost to the new PDP national chairman congratulated Arapaja via a text message after the party leadership failed to persuade the ex-governor to step down Oyinlola.
