"We have to look at these issues and know the calibre of people we seek for our leadership in this dispensation. I can assure you that with the way things are going on now, we are still going to find the same people being turned back to us by the two big political parties in the presidential elections.
"Either PDP throws in Atiku Abubakar or somebody in that category or APC throws in someone like Bola Tinubu on the other side. Nigerians would still have the choice of choosing between the devil and the deep blue sea."

Meanwhile, Bishop Awe who was the governorship candidate of the National Conscience Party (NCP) in Lagos in 2019 advised that Nigerians should stop looking at parties and start focusing on individuals.
His words:
"The idea of parties has really failed us. There is no difference between the ruling party and the opposition.
"That is why the membership of those two parties finds it easy to cross over from one to the other, because they are basically at home wherever they are on both sides.
"So, Nigerians, this time round, should focus more on the individuals coming to contest elections. Can this person solve the problem?"
