Nnamdi Kanu: Senator Abaribe Says IPOB Leader Did Not Order ‘No Election’ in Anambra

Awka - Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe has revealed that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, never gave the order for elections not to hold in Anambra state.
Senator Abaribe made the submission on Thursday, October 28 when he addressed a town hall meeting with the leadership and students of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University (NAU), Awka.
The town hall meeting, which was held at the ASUU NAU Building, was organised by Valentine Ozigbo, the flag-bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2021 Anambra guber election to present his manifesto to the university community.
While addressing the students, the Senate minority leader revealed that he called Kanu's lawyer, who confirmed that the order did not come from the IPOB leader, accusing unknown fifth columnists of engineering the rumours.

He said:
“Who gave the order that there will be no election? IPOB has never said that there will be no election in Anambra. It is the handwork of 5th columnists.”
The respected lawmaker went on to drum support for the PDP candidate, saying:
“ I have seen someone who is sincere, qualified, and eager to work for the people. Hold me responsible in the unlikely event that he does not fulfil his promises.”
Governor Okowa says PDP will win Anambra governorship election
Meanwhile, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state has said that the PDP would win the November 6 governorship election in Anambra as it did in Edo in 2020.

The governor asserted this when he received Ozigbo and some defectors from All Progressives Grand Alliance in Anambra led by the youth leader in the state, Magnus Eziokwu, in Asaba on Tuesday, October 12.
He said that PDP stood a chance to win Anambra going by the preparations so far made by the party, adding that Ozigbo was better than all other candidates in the election.
PDP chieftain confident of party's victory
Similarly, the coordinator of Ozigbo Youth Vanguard, Chuks Benson Anaje, has stated that Ozigbo will win the Anambra election with a landslide victory.
The campaign coordinator assured the Anambra people that Ozigbo would make a difference if elected governor next month.
