2023: How We Plan To Position Osinbajo For Presidency, Northern Leader Reveals

A member of the Osinbajo for President group, Salihu Nataro, has said that the north is making a substantive effort to position Nigeria's vice president, Yemi Osinbajo for president come 2023.

Guardian reports that Nataro said there is a need to revolutionise Nigeria's education and economic sector in tune with the sustainable development goals.

A representative of Labaratorious Richmond, the Pharmaceutical company currently producing the Russian Sputnik V Covid Vaccine based in Argentina, South America, Nataro said a president like Osinabjo would propel Nigeria towards the desired results needed in its healthcare system.

Also insisting that Osinbajo should be supported with the All Progressives Congress presidential ticket for the 2023 general election, Nataro said progressive northern leaders are in tune with the plan.

He said the group is working effortlessly to ensure that the differences between Osinbajo and the national leader of the APC are resolved.

He said through research, his group has also been able to ascertain that the education, health and many other sectors in the country would do well and receive the much-needed autonomy under the leadership of Osinbajo.

According to Nataro, the vice president fits perfectly into the 60-age loop being advocated by a former military President, Ibrahim Babangida.

He said that the responsibility of refocusing the country’s leadership rests on such a calibre of energetic and emergent leaders.

Group's belief in the capability of the vice president

Nataro said:

“The other thing is the strong belief among progressive northern politicians that Osinbajo as president will revolutionise all sectors, like education, healthcare, judiciary, agriculture and defence industry to make it more domestic to enable our military design and produce various missiles."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Osinbajo had said that Nigeria is stronger together as a nation.

Condemning the various agitation for the break up of the country, Osinbajo said no ethnic group can function perfectly on its own.

He also said the all the tribes, religions and ethnicity across the country need each other to survive at the moment and that should be respected.

Also, top members of the APC had expressed concerns over a planned meeting between Osinbajo and the party's national leader, Bola Tinubu.

The concerns raised by the party members following reports of claims that there was an existing cold war between the duo over APC choice for a consensus candidate for the 2023 presidential election.
