"My choice of Keke was primarily to make a statement. I wanted to encourage a paradigm shift, people should be encouraged to live within their means without being shamed for it. I could have borrowed expensive cars to ride on my wedding day thereby living up to society's expectations but to encourage less spending on the wedding, we opted to ride on Keke.
"Secondly, my wife and I thought it would give us more fun. Marriage was meant to be simple and fun and not so cumbersome."

His family actually opposed the idea of using tricycles on their wedding day

When asked if there was any opposition to the idea of tricycle use, he said that his best friend and family were not in support of it.

"My wife also faced opposition from her friends, especially the bridesmaids, they doubted she could do it, and they were shocked on the wedding day when she mounted the Keke with joy and so much happiness. At last, everyone became happy with the decision and the fun that came with it."
