Cute Photos Emerge as Oyinbo Man Relocates to New Zealand With Single Mum of 2 He Married

  • Geoff Walker, his wife Miriam and their family of four children are now settled in New Zealand after travelling from Uganda, where they used to live
  • The two met when Walker was a carefree, single man, and Miriam had two kids from previous relationships
  • After they fell in love, they had twins, and well-wishers have since helped them start a new life

A Mzungu man is over the moon as he has returned to New Zealand with a wife and four kids seven years after he left as a single man.

Where is Wairapapa?

In an interview with a trusted Kenyan platform TUKO.co.ke, Geof Walker said that he was a single and carefree man when he arrived in Uganda. Miriam, however, managed to turn all that around.

He also shared that, before moving to Uganda, from Wairarapa in New Zealand, he was a renowned photographer and still works as one.

"From arriving in Uganda in December 2016, single, no kids, to arriving back in Aotearoa, New Zealand on December 2023 with a partner and four beautiful children to start a new adventure in a new country, in a new year," said Walker.

Although the family is now safely settled in New Zealand, things were not so rosy for them when they planned to travel in 2020.

"Friends … fours years after beginning a journey to reach Aotearoa/New Zealand, our family of one kiwi and five Ugandans have arrived," said Walker.
"The pandemic delays left us empty, and today we need support to repay the loans taken to get us here.. please," he added on Twitter.

After learning about their plight, a woman identified as Hellen Clark set up a Give A Little page to help them raise KSh 5 million (N30 million); the money is supposed to help them start their lives.

"Check out this page for Geoff Walker and his family who have just repatriated from northern Uganda to the Wairarapa. Geoff has been well known as a photographer in the Wairarapa. Repatriation is a slow and expensive process, and support is badly needed to enable the family to refund repatriation costs to the New Zealand Government," she said.
"The family arrived with a minimum of personal possessions and no assets. If people give a little it will help a lot,"she added.

Before they left, the couple and their kids spent some time with their family members.

"The last days of 2023 our family fled parted Gulu, Northern Uganda for MurchisonFalls National Park then went to Entebbe, flying to Addis, Singapore to end the year in Auckland before starting 2024 in Wairarapa. New Year, new country, new Life!" said Walker.

Single mum of 2 emotional as man marries her

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a single mum had shed tears as a man accepted her kids and married her.

At just 23 years old, she suffered broken relationships and became a single mother of two beautiful kids with different fathers.

In the light of these, her family members, society and even the church abandoned her to her fate.

However, her story changed when she found a man who accepted her.
