Sydney Mom Accuses Lover of Leaving Her in Ward After Difficult Delivery to Go Repair Phone
- A 31-year-old woman broke up with the father of her child after he abandoned her at the hour of need
- Erinjade Rand accused ex-lover Jason Saavedra of leaving her in the maternity ward to go repair the broken screen on his phone
- As much as Jason admits that he left the ward to go have his phone fixed, he says that the idea was to have a phone that could take clear photos of his baby
A disappointed woman from Sydney, Australia, has disclosed that the father of her children left her in the maternity ward after she had a traumatic delivery to have his phone fixed.
The 31-year-old social worker named Erinjade Rand detailed how "surreal" her daughter's birth was as the baby came out with umbilical cord wrapped around her neck.

That meant that doctors had to act with speed to make it possible for the newborn named Reynah to start breathing for the first time.
"She had no oxygen, so they were trying to get her to breathe," Rand recalled, as reported by Daily Mail.

According to the mother of five, she stayed in the bath unattended for a long while without her partner Jason Saavedra comforting her, all he did was take videos of her.
When her partner was not recording the procedure, he was busy playing games on his phone despite the midwife asking him to go over and help.
Jason went to replace phone screen
She knew the lowest point had come when Jason excused himself out of the hospital to have the cracked screen on his phone replaced.
"I'd just given birth in the birthing pool. The staff were attending to my daughter and I'd just got back on the bed when he said he was going to get his phone fixed," she said.
Rand adds that she simply nodded in agreement but was completely shocked about everything that had just happened.
Deep down, however, she knew it was "completely unnecessary" for him to think about fixing his phone just after his daughter's delivery.
Jason took too long to come to hospital
As if that was not enough, Jason went home and left her behind at a time she needed to shower and get herself ready to leave the hospital.
"Normally dad looks after the baby while the mother showers, but he wasn't there so I stayed in the unit while the midwife watched her," noted Rand.
After showering, the new mum had to wait until 5.45pm for Jason to come back despite being made aware that they were meant to leave at 4.30pm.

Rand, who has since separated from Jason, says that the relationship has taught her how to be aware and not as trusting.
I just wanted good photos of my baby, Jason
In his defence, Jason maintains that he sought permission to leave the hospital when she went into labour and he did not stay out long.
'I wanted to get photos of my daughter when she was born, and I was out for no longer than 10 minutes," he said.
He gloated in the fact that his decision ensured that mother and baby Reynah have "heaps of photos."
Rand is a mother of five kids namely Cobi-jay, nine, Lukah, eight, Talea, six, Kiarna, two, and the latest addition Reynah.
