"Our parents never gave up on us and on themselves despite our challenges. In our village, we were considered the poorest family. Many people had written us off because of our state.
"But our parents were never discouraged, and they never sat back. They encouraged us to do some menial jobs to raise school fees and get money for family use," Violet, the fourth born in a family of seven siblings told a trusted Kenyan news media Tuko.co.ke.

To celebrate their parents, Violet said they deemed it necessary to hold one of a kind thanksgiving party.

The biggest gift was a brand new, white Toyota Fielder imported for KSh 1.4 million, which was dedicated by the pastoral team.

The medical social worker said the car was important for the mother, who travelled for regular checkups from home.

"We had built a house for our parents in 2018, and now we gifted them a car for easy movement.

The modern, permanent house stood magnificently in the background as the crowd of people kept milling about, taking part in the day's activities.

As seen on KDTV Youtube Channel, Chris' mum was required to lead the family in cutting the cake for the house dedication event.

Before cutting the cake she read scripture that was written on the cake to the delight of the crowd.
