Qatar lists 4 conditions foreigners must meet to get electronic travel authorisation

1. First, the company or establishment applying on behalf of the visitor must have received prior approval from the relevant government departments.

2. Second, the applicant is required to complete an official application form, which must then be submitted either by the business owner or an authorised company representative.

3. Third, the applicant must provide documents that clearly establish their status as a businessman.

4. Fourth, a valid return air ticket must be presented as part of the application.

5. Fifth, a clear copy of the visitor's passport is mandatory.

The business visa is not available to individuals applying independently outside of a recognised business context. The requirement for prior departmental approval means that businesses intending to send representatives to Qatar must begin the process well in advance of any planned travel.

For Nigerians considering Qatar as a destination for trade or investment discussions, understanding these conditions early could save both time and resources. The country has increasingly positioned itself as a hub for business in the Gulf region, and this visa category reflects the structured approach it takes toward managing commercial visits from foreign nationals.
