"He Used WhatsApp GB": Man Lies to Girlfriend He Was Going Abroad, Uses Style to Return to Wife
- For many years, Lynne Karembo gave her heart and everything within her to a Kisii man who had shown intentions of marrying her
- The only challenge was that he had frequent "work trips outside the country," but she always prayed for him to "fly" safely
- One day, Lynne called the "fiancé" and a baby received the call telling her "baba" was in the shower
Lynne Karembo has opened up about a heartbreaking experience of betrayal and deception while in a relationship with a Kisii man.
She recounts how her partner would go to great lengths to deceive her, showing apparent gestures of love and commitment.
Man showered Lynne with love
Lynne told Kenyan widely read media, TUKO.co.ke, that the man would fuel his car and drive himself from Kisii to her place, painting a picture of a loving and caring partner.

The gestures swept her off her feet, making her believe she had finally landed the man of her dreams.
On uncountable occasions, the man would ask her to pray for him to make it so they had a good life together.
"As a good girlfriend and potential wife, I went on my knees and made countless prayers for us," she recalled.
Lynne ignored red flags
Smitten and hooked by his well-calculated lines, Lynne missed the flags that would make her notice the moments were just a facade for his deceit.
His frequent work trips "out of the country " were the most glaring red flags," which left her feeling lonely.
She did not know he created the lie to give himself peaceful time away without her reaching out.
"Kumbe he was leaving to a potential wife in his village or rather original home," she continued.
"Curiosity killed the cat"
To keep his deceit going, the man insisted they communicate through WhatsApp to avoid being caught.
"With WhatsApp GB, no one would know when you are online with its features and settings," she adds, illustrating the extent of his efforts to cover up.
Lynne's world crashed when she became curious one day and called.
To her dismay, the call was answered by a child who told her that the dad was in the shower.
Lynne's "lover" was married with a baby
The child's response shattered her illusions when she asked the baby who "baba" was to confirm her fears.
"She told me the name of my potential then-to-be husband," Lynne remembered.
The betrayal and deceit have scarred Lynne so much that she fears relationships and commitments.
Another lady faced heartbreak
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that a young Nigerian lady with the Twitter handle @dess_laundry shared a very emotional story of her heartbreak when she was younger.
The lady said she started dating a man when she was just 20 years old. She was in a relationship with the man throughout her university years and even afterwards.
