A video of Victor Osimhen dancing and having fun after Nigeria’s AFCON match against Cameroon hasgaained attention on TikTok.

The young striker, who is a role model for many Nigerians, had been working hard in the ongoing AFCON tournament. The video showed Osimhen’s joy and excitement days after Nigeria’s thrilling win over Cameroon in the quarter-finals of the AFCON.

Osimhen, who plays for Napoli in Italy, is one of the most promising talents in African football. He has scored many goals for Nigeria, and has also attracted interest from some of the top clubs in Europe. He is known for his speed, strength, and finishing skills.

Osimhen's importance to the team

Speaking briefly with Olawale Olaniyan, a sports journalist at Nigerian Tribune with 16 years of experience, he said the Nigerian striker's goal drought does not reduce his overall contribution to the team.

He told Legit.ng:

"The Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen is very important to Super Eagles at this African Cup of Nations because of his recent form and records bringing from Serie A league. His pace and strength cannot be underestimated as he’s leading the team with this qualities. The coach cannot afford to use another strikers ahead of the 2023 African Footballer of the year despite his goal drought but coach Jose Peseiro still believe in his ability to help his team. He has only manage to score a goal at the ongoing AFCON, and he’s optimistic and he’s not bothered but he want to help his team."

New twist as Osimhen, 2 other super eagles players' drug tests are released

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that the Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, captain William Troost-Ekong, and forward Ademola Lookman, who recently underwent drug tests at the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023, have their results negative.

Osimhen and his teammates were randomly picked for a drug test by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for a random drug test following their performance against Guinea-Bissau in the tournament.

Osimhen's performance in the match had attracted the attention of the CAF authority, leading to him being selected for a random drug test.
