A Kenyan waitress has been left in tears after a man who ordered drinks worth N56,000 at her workplace ran away without paying.
The incident cost her not only the money but also her job and livelihood.
The waitress shared her ordeal in a viral video on social media.
How did man escape with a bar bill?
In the video shared by BNN, she was seen crying and pleading with the man, whom she named Mwash, to come back and settle the bill.
She said Mwash had come to the bar where she worked and ordered drinks.
However, Mwash sneaked out of the bar without paying, leaving her with a bill of N56,000.
She said the amount was equivalent to her daughter's school fees for a whole term. She said her boss fired her.
"If your name is Mwash; you came to my workplace, I served you, and you escaped with a N56,000 bill, and I am now crying. You have made me lose my job. The N56000 bill is enough to pay my child's whole term's school fees. I am now stranded because you escaped without settling the bill. I swear before God, you will pay it. You will have to pay it," she lamented.
