A Kenyan chef, Maliha Mohammed, suddenly collapsed during her cook-a-thon targeted at creating a new Guinness World Record for the longest cooking time (individual).
A video seen on her Instagram story showed the mother of two on a stretcher as medical personnel attended to her.
Legit.ng learnt the former Guinness record holder began a fresh cook-a-thon on Wednesday, November 15 more than four months after she held a trial cooking marathon in Kenya.
However, after over 100 hours, she suddenly collapsed. An update on her Instagram page showed the chef is back on her feet and has now done over 114 hours of cooking.

It remains to be seen if she will succeed at breaking Alan Fisher's new record.

Oyo chef reportedly breaks Alan Fisher's record
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that an Oyo chef had cooked for 200 hours, reportedly breaking Alan Fisher's Guinness Record.
According to Oyo Affairs on X, Chef Tope Maggie completed a 200-hour cook-a-thon which ended in the early hours of Saturday, November 18.
It should be noted that the Guinness World Record has not responded to the task, and Alan Fisher is still the official record holder for the category after defeating Hilda Baci days ago.
