Student Sues Ex-Boyfriend for Refusing to Move On 2 Years after They Parted Ways
- A young nursing student named Sharon Ng'uni has filed a lawsuit against her former boyfriend, Taonga Chibambe, for persistently pursuing her two years after their breakup.
- She alleges that the 22-year-old continues to contact and even visit her despite the fact that she is now in a new relationship
- Sharon also asserted that Taonga's mother has accused her of enchanting her son, claiming that he cannot forget her due to a spell she has supposedly cast
A 22-year-old student nurse has filed a case against her former boyfriend, Taonga Chibambe, for allegedly refusing to accept they broke up.
Mwebantu reports that the fearless nursing student named Sharon Ng'uni dragged the ex-lover to the Kitwe Local Court to stop him from following her.
Taonga still calls, visits Sharon
The young woman asked the court to issue a restraining order against Taonga to protect herself from his continued post-breakup antics.
Sharon told the court that despite their love story ending in 2021, the ex has completely refused to accept that they are no longer a couple.
According to the complainant, Taonga continues to disturb her with endless phone calls and keeps showing up at her doorstep.
The unimpressed woman revealed that her ex needed to give her peace because she was already dating someone else, and his behaviour was affecting her new relationship.
Did Sharon put a spell on Taonga?
She added that this was the second restraining order she was seeking since the first one did not deter him.
Sharon's testimony turned hilarious when she claimed that Taonga's mother had accused her of putting her son under a spell, which is why he can't forget her.
Taonga, however, refuted her former girlfriend's allegations, adding he only visits her when she permits him to do so.
While presiding over the case, the court ordered the pair to stop calling or visiting each other, likening their behaviour to that of animals.
“You are too young to behave like this, and I do not know why parents are involved in such a matter. Block each other and stop visiting her. This is animal behaviour and you cannot continue like this," said the court.
Man discovers wife's top secret
Elsewhere, the marriage of two lovers who tied the knot 10 years ago has hit the rocks after the husband discovered his wife had been hiding a top secret.
James Banda filed for divorce after discovering that his wife lied that she only had one child from the past, only for her to reveal later that they are three.
The 30-year-old told the court that he accepted 29-year-old Barbara with her child because he too was a father of one, unaware that there were two others.
