Who is Emediong Essien?
The skilful Nigerian lady is presently a 500-level student of Geomatics at Rivers State University.
Emediong Essien first captured the attention of netizens after photos of her book were shared on Facebook.

"My name is Emediong Essien. I am a 500-level student of surveying and Geomatics, Rivers State University", she told Legit.ng.
My primary school teacher perfected my handwriting skill
Emediong's handwriting did not only go viral on social media but also made netizens aware of the great things that a person stands to benefit from being skilful.
Speaking on how she acquired an amazing handwriting skill, Emediong gave all the credit to her primary school teacher who was a true perfectionist.
In her words:
"God gave us a primary school teacher that was more of a perfectionist, she loved everything to be perfect including our handwriting.
"Initially, my classmates and I grumbled against our strict teacher's demands for perfection, believing that she was being too harsh on us.
"However, in retrospect, I can see how her approach was intended to teach us the fundamentals of creating elegant handwriting from the very beginning."
"Currently, I am grateful for her rigorous teaching methods. Her unwavering commitment to neat handwriting has been beneficial to me."

According to the skilled lady, her perfect handwriting has been of huge benefit to her in different aspects of life.
Financially and academically, she was able to get a job and has also been the blue-eyed girl for most lecturers who fancied her handwriting in school.
"My handwriting makes a great first impression when writing any handwritten correspondence. A neat and legible script can leave a positive impression on the recipient and communicate that I am someone who pays attention to detail", Emediong said.
She continued:
"It has attracted positive attention from people, and I've noticed that lecturers find it easy for me to take down records because my handwriting is neat and organized.
"Additionally, I have noticed that people who receive notes or letters from me pay attention to the details because my handwriting is legible and easy to read. I take pride in my handwriting and find it helpful in many aspects of my personal and professional life.
How my handwriting got me a husband
Emediong narrated that her husband first took interest in her after seeing a certificate she had written down names on.
He became interested in knowing who wrote them and got more eager to meet her when he discovered it was a lady's handwriting.
They subsequently met with each other, fell in love and today, they are married.
In her words:
"It will interest you to know that my husband was attracted to me first because of my handwriting. He saw a certificate I wrote some names on and was interested to know who wrote down the names.
"He was even more interested when he discovered it was a lady. Long story cut short, we are married."
Emediong tells us more about her huge job
The married young lady had earlier revealed how her handwriting got her a mouthwatering job.
Speaking more about the incident, she said:
"Apart from the fact that my application letter was singled out from others, I initially started working as a regular staff member, but after my supervisors saw my handwriting and skill, I was promoted to a new role where I was asked to train other staff on how to write with neat handwriting.
"They recognized the value of my skill and saw it as an asset to the organization. I felt honoured and excited to share my knowledge with others and help them improve their writing abilities."
My advice to young people
Emediong advised youngsters to nurture and develop the skills they possess as it would definitely help them in future.
She said:
"My advice to young people would be to always nurture and develop the skills they possess, no matter how insignificant they may seem at the time.
"It's easy to overlook certain skills or talents because they don't fit into the traditional definition of success or seem to have limited value.

"However, every skill has the potential to be valuable and can lead to new opportunities and experiences. Just like in my case, by God’s grace, my handwriting opened up a new role and allowed me to share my knowledge and expertise with others.
Lady with perfect handwriting gets huge job
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a beautiful young lady whose handwriting could be mistaken for a computer font has stunned many online.
The proud Nigerian girl, Emediong Essien, shared photos of her book on social media and gushed over her fine handwriting. She also appreciated her teacher for coaching her and her classmates on writing neatly and perfectly.
Her words: "While sitting to update some school notes and assignments, I can't help but admire the beauty of my handwriting. The lines are straight, the curves are smooth, and every letter is perfectly formed. It's a small thing, but it brings me a sense of pride and accomplishment."
