A young Nigerian man with the Twitter name Olayinka has gone online to reveal how the present strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has been a blessing in disguise.
While many students are lamenting how the strike is affecting them, the young man said the strike action has given him more time to work on his craft.

A designer, Olayinka shared photos of shoes he recently worked on. Black and smooth, the footwears look so classy.

The young man wished his tweet gets the needed attention it deserves, and it did. Speaking with Legit.ng on how his viral tweet helped his business, he said:
"It has affected my business positively far more than my expectation, people liked it, that made me very happy..."

Students spoke about the strike
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Nigerian students lamented about the crisis caused by the incessant strike, and how it caused them untoward hardship.
Two young students who spoke to the BBC said that it has affected them and their time is being wasted. It should be noted that lecturers went on strike because of unpaid allowances.
A student of the University of Ibadan (UI), Ayomide Babalola Elizabeth, said that a course she should be studying for four years may take her five to six years because of perpetual strike actions.
