It has been a gruelling five months for a Nairobi woman following an unexplained disappearance of her 34-year-old husband.
Before he went missing
Janet Nduku and her two children aged 10 and seven years have neither heard nor seen Dennis Sash Kyalo who they are afraid could have been abducted.
According to Nduku, Kyalo had left their Tassia, Kwa Ndege area home and was headed to Karen for a job engagement only to disappear without a word or hint.

“He was wearing a navy blue t-shirt labelled ‘Solo’, pair of blue rugged jeans and royal blue leather shoes on that fateful day,” Nduku told TUKO.co.ke’s Yvonne Mutunga.
The worrying disappearance of her husband caused Nduku and the children to hurriedly relocate from the city and sought refuge in Machakos.
Nduku disclosed that Kyalo had left to meet a client over a trailer sale deal.
“A day to his disappearance, he told me that he would be meeting a friend he identified as Paul Kimeu in Karen, who together they would proceed to oversee the sale of a trailer,” she narrated.
Last moments before disappearing
She remembers how on the eve of the fateful day they had a good time with their children over dinner, not knowing it would be something close to the biblical last supper.

“He was a gentleman with few words and loved his family so much. On the eve of his disappearance, we shared dinner and enjoyed ourselves with the children.
“He was very jovial and even told me that he had found a client whom he wanted to buy a trailer who they would be meeting the following day in the company of his friend,” she added.
Nduku told Kenyan widely read media, TUKO.co.ke, that the joyful moment they had shared a day earlier melted after her husband failed to show up the following day which was unlike him.
She, however, took it easy and thought maybe the work engagements could have been more demanding thus he was unable to come back home, but the lack of communication made her feel something was amiss.
Missing person report
Two days without her husband’s return and no communication confirmed her worst fears that the love of her life could have been in deep trouble.
“It is then that I reported the matter to Tasia, Kwa Ndege Police Post. The officers told us that they had picked up the matter but since December 2021, no progressive development has been communicated to us,” she tearfully narrated.
She said the silence from authorities is tormenting the family as they are unable to know if Kyalo is safe, dead, alive or in trouble.
“Our last born child has become uneasy and even refused to go to school because he wants to see his father. I am forced to tell him that the dad will soon be returning but the truth is I am not sure where he is in the first place,” Nduku said.
The family is now pleading with the members of the public and the office of the Directorate of Criminal investigation to intervene and help trace the whereabouts of the beloved one.
