Lady who Lost Her Parents and Dropped out of Madonna University Becomes Best Graduating Student at FUTO

A Nigerian student has taken to social media to celebrate her successful graduation from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) despite first dropping out of Madonna University due to difficulties.
The student identified as Chimdinma Adaugo Ihetu finished as the 2021 best graduating student in the Department of Bio-Medical Engineering, FUTO.
Sharing the great news on LinkedIn, Chimdinma said:
"10 years after secondary school, here I am to say thank God for this achievement. I made it, the best graduating student of Biomedical Technology 2019/2020 set."

Why I dropped out of Madona University
Initially, Chimdinma was a medical student at Madona University but had to drop out after she lost her parents. She said she refused to give up as she took JAMB again and was admitted to study Bio-Medical Engineering at FUTO, Imo State.
Chimdinma said she dropped out of Madona University in the third year. Her words:
"After losing both parents..After having to drop out of Madonna university in my 3rd year where I was studying medicine and surgery same year after losing my parents...After having to re-write jamb and not see any result for the postutme....Then I re-applied for jamb, put in Federal University of Technology Owerri the next year and took up Biomedical Technology because it seemed like the closest thing to medicine(Boy was I wrong) I picked myself from the dust and faced school squarely.."

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that another Nigerian student identified as Wakilat Kikelomo Zakariyau graduated as the best in her faculty at Osun State University. She received an award from Governor Gboyega Oyetola for her feat.
Wakilat recorded a perfect CGPA in her first year and went on to become the best in the faculty of humanities.
While on campus, Wakilat combined academics with journalism and entrepreneurship, but still finished top of her faculty.
