A Nigerian pastor has got many talking on social media after telling men of God that they can't succeed abroad if they didn't make it in their own country.

In some videos that were shared on Instagram, the pastor could be seen addressing the congregation.

According to the unidentified pastor, any man of God who didn't make it in his country cannot be successful abroad.

Your preaching won't attract people

He said these men of God can't even attract a gathering of 50 people in their own country despite being in the ministry for 12 years.

The pastor said what many men of God preach on the pulpit cannot attract members to their church if they eventually move abroad.

According to him, if care is not taken, those men of God will become taxi drivers and barbers abroad.

In his words:

"It's a japa spirit. Let me tell you something men of God, all of you that say you want to travel to Canada, it's not a curse, you can't make it. You know why, you didn't make it in Nigeria.
"You have been in ministry for 12 years, you can't gather 50 people. It's taxi you will drive when you get to Canada."

You don't have a message

He said many Nigerian pastors don't have a message they can preach abroad, adding that the only reason they are in ministry is the poverty of Nigeria.

"Many of you pastors don't even know that you don't have a message. The only reason you are in ministry is the poverty of Nigeria."
