Oil Mogul Abignwankwo Drums Support for Soludo Ahead of Anambra Supplementary Poll, Reconciles APGA Members

Nigerian entrepreneur and philanthropist, Ichie Chimezie Kenney Nwankwo, has called on aggrieved chieftains of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Ward 2, Ihiala local government area of Anambra state, to settle their differences in the interest of the party and Professor Charles Soludo ahead of the November 9 supplementary poll.

In a press release sent to Legit.ng, the businessman and philanthropist said there is need for reconciliation amongst party members for Soludo to coast home to victory.

He called on APGA members and other political parties in his ward and the local government at large to support the ex-CBN governor so as to take the state to the next level.

Nwankwo, who is a chieftain of APGA, met with members of his party as well as those of APC, YPP, and PDP in his ward and harmonised them for the cause, promising that the dividend of democracy is at the community doorstep if Soludo emerges the winner.

The statement read:

“This is in addition to his previous support to Soludo candidature whom he describes as his personal friend and the people's choice.
“The youth and women leaders appreciated him and promised to do their best in giving all their vote to Soludo come tomorrow being November 9, 2021."

Apart from drumming support for the APGA governorship candidate, Nwankwo who is the chairman of Abignwankwo Foundation is out to giving back to the society as he promised to undertake several community development programs for his people.

In other news, following the fire outbreak that destroyed goods worth millions of naira at Nkwo Ogbe market in Ihiala Local Government Area (LGA) of Anambra state on Sunday, October 17, entrepreneur and philanthropist, Ichie Chimezie Kenney Nwankwo, has promised to donate the sum of N5m to the affected trader.

Making this known in a press release sent to Legit.ng, Ichie Chimezie popularly known as Abignwankwo, said the philanthropic intervention is his own way of giving back to the people, adding that a donation system will be launched soon to help the affected traders get back on their feet.

According to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bigly Oil and Gas, who hails from the said local government, he is launching the philanthropic intervention with N5 million so as to ensure that the traders have a relief at these trying times.

Children pray for Soludo to win Anambra governorship election

Legit.ng earlier reported that as the collation of the results of the Anambra governorship election continued in Awka on Sunday, November 7, many children prayed for Professor Charles Soludo to become governor.

Soludo, a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), is the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

The children who gathered at the country home of Soludo, Isuofia, were said to be those on his scholarship scheme.
