People Think It’s My Husband’s Vehicle: 24-Year-Old Lady Driving Yellow Bus in Lagos Reveals in Video

A young Nigerian lady, Adunni Balogun, who drives a bus in Lagos for survival, has said that many people do not believe she is actually a driver.

In a BBC Pidgin News interview, she said that they always tell her perhaps she is using that as a front business for prostitution. The lady stated that their opinion may have been informed because of the way she is elegantly dressed.

My mother was against it

According to Adunni, she dresses in the clothes many ladies wear to their boyfriends’ houses. The 24-year-old revealed she started her transport business with a tricycle.

Adunni was former a hawker in the Ikeja area of Lagos before she ventured into the business. When she wanted to start driving, her mother frowned against it.

Many men said I should leave the work

The lady said that her relationship has taken a hit several times because of the business she is into. She added that men are always telling her to leave her work.

The bus driver relived how she left her driving business for a man she was dating. Adunni stated that she suffered for two months because the lover had no plan for her.

Customers are often surprised

The 24-year-old disclosed that some passengers sometimes tell her to go and call her husband to drive the bus when the vehicle is filled without knowing she is the driver.

Adunni said she has been able to sponsor her education. She said she makes N5,000 on average daily.

Lady, 22, becomes taxi driver

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that a 22-year-old lady, Lucia Osamo, revealed that she became a taxi driver because she could not afford N5,000 to register for JAMB.

In an exclusive interview with Legit TV’s Temitope Wuraola, she said that she sometimes gets hit on by some of her male customers who would say that she is too pretty to be doing her kind of work.

Narrating one of her experiences with a female customer, she said when she showed up, the lady asked where the original driver is.
