A young Nigerian man, Winner Adejor, has shared how he realised his father’s dream by gaining admission into the university.

In an exclusive message sent to Legit.ng, the young man said his dad gifted him the cloth he got in 1984 and asked him to wear it on for his matriculation.

"I couldn't make it to the university, but u are representing me now. I am proud of you son.”

Winner stated that he decided to share his story as a way to inspire children to make up for their parents’ inadequacies.

My father was happy

The young undergraduate promised his father to make him proud in school.

On how people reacted to his ‘odd’ matriculation cloth, he said:

“My mates were surprised at my wear but, I was very excited because it was my father's greatest joy.”

Man gifted daughter his NYSC uniform

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that a Nigerian father, Joe Chukwu, went on Facebook on Sunday, August 29, and shared photos showing him bequeathing his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) uniform to his daughter about to go for service.

Joe revealed that he was issued the ceremonial dress 37 years ago when he was drafted for the 1984/85 12th batch.

The man said that he is giving his daughter the dress he has kept for a long time so that she can add it to her kits.

Son's matric request

In other news, a son's request to his daddy for the things he would be needing for his matriculation got many people laughing hard.

In a post shared by KraksTv on Instagram, the son started his list with "Dear Daddy" appellation. He, therefore, went ahead to name the things he wants for the event on Thursday, October 14.
