Lagos state - Popular Lagos socialite, Emeka Okonkwo Daniel, also known as E-Money, has been arrested for allegedly abusing the naira.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested E-Money at his residence in the Omole area of Lagos.

According to The Punch, EFCC operatives picked up E-Money on Monday night, April 25, 2025.
EFCC sources disclosed that E-Money was arrested for allegedly spraying United States dollars, an act said to be in violation of the Foreign Exchange Act.

“On Monday night, we arrested E-Money for Naira abuse and defacing foreign currencies. Specifically, he was alleged to have sprayed U.S. dollars, which is against the Foreign Exchange Act.
“He was arrested at his Omole, Lagos residence. Preliminary investigations are ongoing, and he will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.”
Another source, who is not authorised to speak to the press said E-Money is currently being flown to Abuja for questioning.
The source said:
“Yes, he has been arrested and is being flown to Abuja as I speak, to face investigators on the issue.”
Court remands musician Terry Apala in prison
Earlier, the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, remanded musician Terry Alexander Ejeh, otherwise known as Terry Apala, in prison.
Justice Akintayo Aluko remanded Terry Apala in prison on Friday, April 25, 2025, for allegedly abusing naira notes.
Apala was arraigned by the Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on a one-count charge of mutilating naira notes.
E-Money called out over fake panda tourbillon wristwatch
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that E-Money was called out by a fashion luxury shopper for wearing a fake wristwatch as his picture trended online.
In the post, the businessman was advised to conduct due diligence before hiring a stylist to avoid being called out.
