A Bold Step Toward Workers' Welfare
In a statement signed by its State Coordinator, Alhaji Rufai Ahmed Gusau, the coalition emphasized that the wage increase will improve financial stability, service delivery, and overall quality of life for government employees.
"This is a departure from the vicious cycle of salary bondage imposed by previous administrations. Zamfara workers are now well motivated to serve the state,” the statement read.
The coalition also praised the governor for sanitizing the civil service payroll, removing 2,363 ghost workers who were illegally receiving ₦193.6 million monthly, and verifying 28,273 genuine employees.
"By eliminating fraudulent practices, the government has saved ₦200 million, which will now be channeled into projects that will make Zamfara great and prosperous again,” Gusau stated.
Restoring Democracy and Good Governance
The group highlighted the impact of improved security and economic activities under Lawal’s leadership, noting that Zamfara people are beginning to enjoy the true dividends of democracy.
"The governor’s ‘Rescue Mission’ campaign has shown his political sagacity and administrative acumen in salvaging Zamfara from political hirelings and reactionary forces that have hindered its progress,” the statement added.
Call for Support and Unity
Passing a vote of confidence in Governor Lawal’s leadership, the coalition urged all citizens, labor unions, and opposition parties to support the administration’s efforts to foster unity, security, and infrastructural development.
"It is a new dawn and a better future for the good people of Zamfara State. We must all rally behind the government to ensure these reforms translate into long-term growth and prosperity,” Gusau concluded.
The group reiterated its belief that under Governor Lawal’s pragmatic and resourceful leadership, Zamfara State is on the path to transformation and sustainable development.
