BREAKING: Timileyin Ajayi Speaks on Why He Killed ‘Girlfriend’, Severed Head

Uke, Nasarawa state - Timileyin Ajayi, on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, said he killed and severed the head of his purported girlfriend, Salome Adaidu, 'to break off' their relationship.

Ajayi spoke in a video interview with Africa Independent Television (AIT).

It would be recalled that Ajayi, was apprehended by churchgoers on Sunday, January 12, in Orozo, a community bordering the federal capital territory (FCT), Abuja, and Nasarawa state, after he was found carrying a polybag containing the severed head of Salome.

Caleb Umaru, the church’s Bible Study teacher and general secretary, explained that a member had noticed Ajayi acting suspiciously near a river. Umaru said the member alerted others when Ajayi threw the polybag into the river, which was later retrieved and found to contain the severed head of the 24-year-old victim.

Speaking to the press, Ajayi, 32, said he dismembered his purported girlfriend's body because he wanted to end their one-year relationship.

Addressing the press in a mixture of English and pidgin, Ajayi said:

"That day (Saturday, January 11, 2025), I invited her to my house. She was asking me for transport, I said I didn't have. She now came. So, when she came, she was now asking me for N3,000. I told her me too I don't have N3,000; I'm only managing myself. She said 'no wahala'.
"As she stay, she come tell me say she dey hungry; I say make she relax, food dey come. She said 'no wahala, she go wait make food come'.

"As she dey wait, her body temperature come dey rise, I see say hungry dey worry her."

Ajayi said noodles were prepared and given to late Adaidu, before the dastardly act.

The suspect confessed that he asked the deceased to move into the bathroom where he brutally killed her.

Timileyin Ajayi's old motivational video surfaces

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that an old video of Timileyin Ajayi, the man who allegedly killed his lover, had surfaced online after the police arrested him.

The man had been accused of killing his lover, with the severed head of his lover found in a nylon.
