FCT, Abuja - President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday, August 6, appointed new heads of agencies and programmes under the federal ministry of humanitarian affairs, disaster management, and social development.
According to a statement by Tinubu's spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, the development was to facilitate the needed relief to Nigerians and ensure the effectiveness of humanitarian and social development programmes.

President Tinubu approved the appointment of seven persons to head strategic agencies and programmes under the federal ministry of humanitarian affairs, disaster management and social development.

- Ms. Funmilola Olotu - Programme Manager, National Social Safety-Net Coordinating Office.

- Ms. Aishat Alubankudi - Programme manager, grant for vulnerable groups.

Meanwhile, Ngelale said President Tinubu expects the new heads of these critical agencies and programmes to discharge the functions of their offices with utmost integrity and diligence to ensure that Nigerians — especially vulnerable groups — are the direct beneficiaries of his administration's "reconfigured welfare programmes".

Tinubu appoints new TETFund board
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that President Tinubu approved the appointment of seven Nigerians to serve on the board of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund).
Tinubu expects the new members of the board to be dedicated and committed to driving TETFund's objective of providing the needed support for tertiary education to enhance the productivity and quality of higher education.
The immediate past governor of Katsina state, Aminu Masari, was named the TETFund chairman while two prominent former federal lawmakers, Senator Sani Danladi and Sunday Adepoju, were named by President Tinubu as members.
