NDE FCT office begins registration of 2040 residents for Renewed Hope Employment Initiative

Following a recent lunch of Renewed Hope Employment Initiative, by the Director General of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), Silas Ali Agara, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) office the Directorate says it has commenced registration of the unemployed for the 2040 opening for FCT residents in the scheme.

The office also revealed that it has put measures in place to swiftly operationalise the initiative in line with the directive of the Director General of NDE, ensuring transparency, due process and accountability in the process.

Over 90,000 unemployed Nigerians across the States of the Federation will benefit from the initiative. 2,040 persons from FCT will be among the among the total figure 

According to a press statement signed by the FCT NDE Coordinator, Mr. Noble Chimereze, the office is "mobilising all human and material resources towards the successful implementation of the programme," with the goal of ensuring that the initiative runs smoothly and effectively.

The Renewed Hope Employment Initiative, a program designed to tackle unemployment, will involve rigorous planning and coordination.

"We are putting in place measures to ensure transparency, accountability, and due process in accordance with the guidelines designed by the headquarters of the NDE," Mr. Chimereze noted, emphasizing the Directorate’s commitment to adhering to best practices.

Prospective beneficiaries have been urged to take proactive steps to register for the program.

As part of the registration process, interested residents of the FCT are required to visit the NDE website (www.nde.gov.ng) to create an account using their valid email address, National Identity Number (NIN), and passport photograph. "Successful candidates will be contacted by NDE thereafter," the statement read.

The NDE’s focus on transparency is underscored by the measures the FCT office has put in place, ensuring that all processes align with national standards and the vision of the Director General, who continues to champion this critical employment initiative.
