From his very first day in the studio, Matmiles was not only introduced to the intricate technicalities of music creation but also gained foundational knowledge in web development and blogging, thanks to his co-apprentice, George Duniya (Cherrydee).
Matmiles often expresses profound gratitude towards Andrew, whom he lovingly refers to as his father figure. He credits Andrew with imparting essential life lessons that transcended the realms of work and business, instilling in him values of discipline and integrity that continue to shape his character today.
Matmiles' journey began at the tender age of 11, when his father, Mr. Emmanuel Ajefi Ogbu, a gospel singer from the Ufia tribe, recognized the financial hurdles associated with studio fees. Determined to provide his son with the best opportunities, he sought mentorship for Matmiles, leading him to Makesense Productions.
This pivotal decision marked the inception of Matmiles' lifelong passion for music production. As he grew older, around the ages of 15 to 16, Matmiles continued to evolve in his craft, yet he never distanced himself from the Makesense Productions family, which he considers his foundational support system.
When asked about his greatest inspirations, Matmiles passionately cites God, his father, his family, the everyday struggles he witnessed in his community, and the iconic Olamide, whom he describes as the "Storybook for every ghetto kid."
Matmiles’ experiences and lifestyle have been shaped by the challenges he faced along the way. He emphasizes the importance of resilience and hard work, acknowledging that every obstacle he encountered fueled his determination to succeed. As he reflects on his journey, Matmiles remains committed to uplifting others in the creative industry, hoping to inspire the next generation of artists and producers.
His story serves as a powerful reminder that with passion, mentorship, and a strong support system, it is possible to turn dreams into reality and make a lasting impact in the world. Through Magoc Group, Matmiles continues to innovate and create, proving that the journey from apprentice to founder is not just about personal success, but also about empowering others to follow their dreams.
