The document, dated November 19, 2020, and titled "In the Matter of Breach of Promise of Marriage, Financial Disputes, and Related Allegations", details claims made by Akpoti-Uduaghan, including financial losses, business contributions, and personal grievances.
According to the legal document, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan claimed to have played a significant role in advising and supporting Chief Uduaghan's business ventures, including the acquisition of a gas asset valued at $105 million. The document also referenced financial transactions, with the senator alleging that she lent him N400 million, of which N200 million remained unpaid.
The document states in part:
"Our client dutifully supported you in anticipation of marriage, offering business and financial advice. She was instrumental in the successful acquisition of a gas asset and other investments. Additionally, she lent you the sum of N400 million, with only partial repayment made to date."

Among other claims, Akpoti-Uduaghan’s legal representatives sought N10 billion in compensation for consultancy services, financial losses, and other grievances.
The dispute also makes reference to a contract awarded by the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) for a technology development project. The contract, reportedly worth N7 billion, was secured during the tenure of Senate President Godswill Akpabio as Minister of Niger Delta Affairs.
This comes amid earlier tensions between Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan and Senate leadership. The senator had previously accused Akpabio of misconduct, an allegation he denied. Following a series of disagreements in the Senate, Akpoti-Uduaghan was suspended for six months over what the chamber described as "unparliamentary conduct."
While these revelations have sparked further discussions, neither party has issued an official statement regarding the leaked document. The situation remains a subject of ongoing public interest.
