FCT, Abuja - President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived at the 2023 Nigerian Army Trooping and Presentation of Colours Parade.
Buhari, who arrived at Eagle Square, the parade venue, at about 10:18 am, was accompanied by his Chief of Staff, Ibrahim Gambari.
The retired army general was dressed in the ceremonial military uniform and reviewed over 1,000 officers on standby on parade.
In attendance were the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Lucky Irabor; the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Faruk Yahaya and the Inspector-General of Police Usman Baba are in attendance, Daily Trust reported.

As reported by Vanguard, Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Oladayo Amao, Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Awwal Zubairu Gambo, and Senate President Ahmad Lawan were among the dignitaries in attendance.
Military warns interim government plotters, says they won’t succeed
In another development, the military has described those plotting interim national government in the country as mischievous.
It warned the proponents of such unconstitutional ventures and ideas to stop.
According to the DHQ, the Independent National Electoral Commission had conducted elections and declared a president-elect, which the military recognises.
This was disclosed by the director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Musa Danmadami, at a press briefing attended by a Legit.ng reporter. According to him, the military will always defend what the constitution says.

The Federal Government of Nigeria handed the advice to Nigerians on Tuesday, April 25.
According to the FG, an attempt to head to Sudan's neighbouring countries would be dangerous for Nigerians.
The FG, in a statement co-signed by the director overseeing the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Permanent Secretary Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Nasir Sani-Gwarzo, said all planned trips to the borders should be aborted.
