The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) for the just concluded Benue South senatorial election, Comrade Daniel Onjeh, has insisted that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu emerged winner of the presidential election "by the decision of the majority of the Nigerian electorate and received a pan-Nigerian mandate at the 2023 Presidential Poll to pilot the affairs of the nation for the next four years."
Addressing the media in Abuja on Saturday, March 25, Onjeh highlighted the significance of Tinubu's victory, saying it reflected in the geographical spread of his votes.
According to him:
"The significance of Asiwaju's mandate is reflected in the geographical spread of the votes he garnered, winning the South West, North West and North Central; and coming second in most of the other zones; hence surpassing the 25% threshold in 25 states (including the FCT).

"Although he lost in the FCT, he won in 29 out of 36 states, beating his closest rival by a wide margin."
Onjeh assured Nigerian youths of inclusiveness under the leadership of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Speaking on youths inclusiveness, he said:
"When Tinubu assumes office as Commander-in-Chief on May 29, 2023, the youth will no doubt play very crucial roles in his administration.
"The president-elect has an unrivaled reputation for seeking, nurturing and developing young talents. His record in office as Governor of Lagos State stands him out as someone who creates the enabling environment for competent people - especially the youths, to thrive maximally under his tutorship.
Giving what appears like a synopsis of his meeting with Tinubu in 2015, Onjeh said,:
"I had the privilege of interacting with him when I contested for the Senate in 2015, a fierce political oddessey that ended up in a re-run election against a political titan, the then President of the Senate.
"Asiwaju's support and encouragement were crucial to me; and thereafter I got to know more about his mentorship of young people. Asiwaju doesn't only attract talented and competent people, he grooms them adequately and avails them the necessary connections to attain the pinnacles of their aspirations. His record of youth empowerment in and out of office is unsurpassed and worthy of emulation
"I therefore urge Nigerian youths to brace up for a greater role in governance under the Tinubu Presidency, by organizing themselves as a focused pressure group with clarity of vision, realizable goals, sound objectives and a comprehensive plan of action."
Onjeh, the APC 2023 senatorial candidate for Benue South is a former NANS President, and the immediate past Board Chairman of PRODA.
