Atiku Abubakar has called on the people of Enugu to enter into the mainstream of Nigerian politics by supporting him because he will be elected Nigeria's president in the next 11 days.
According to him, by entering into the mainstream politics of the country, the people will enjoy prosperity, economic development, peace and security.
He disclosed this while speaking at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential campaign rally in Enugu on Tuesday, February 14, Tribune Newspaper reports.
I will be stepping stone to Igbo presidency - Atiku
Going further, the former vice president insisted that he was the stepping stone to the Igbo presidency.

He said:
“When I came here few months ago to attend a zonal conference of the southeast, I said to the Igbos, I am going to be the stepping stone to the Igbo presidency. And I mean it."
PDP to form the next government
Atiku also urged the people to cast their vote for him because he is certain to become the next president and through this, the state will be in the mainstream of Nigeria's politics, This Day Newspaper added.
Atiku added:
“I want to let you know that this country is geared towards electing a PDP government, do not be an exception and do not be a minority. The next government is going to be formed by the PDP.

Atiku is the bridge between old and new generation - PDP group
Meanwhile, the PDP New Generation has said Atiku, if elected as the next president of Nigeria, will bridge the gap between the old and new generation.
Founder of the group, Audu Mahmood, said that Atiku as vice president of Nigeria, recognised the importance of youths when he was in power.
He added that every well-meaning Nigerian should be working towards removing the APC from power and voting Atiku in the forthcoming presidential election.
