Lafia, Nasarawa - Abdullahi Sule, the Nasarawa state governor, has lost one of his sons, Hassan Sule, to the cold hands of death.
According to Tribune, Hassan Sule died in Lafia, the Nasarsawa state capital in the late hours of Thurday, January 26.

The governor's son, Hassan Sule, was said to have kicked the bucket after a brief illness, at the age of 36.

Some prominent Nigerians have been sending condolence messages and commiserating with the governor.
Top of them is Matthew Kuju, the publisher of Eggonnews, who condoled the governor in the early hours of Friday.
He lamented that it is painful for a father to bury his son while praying for the deceased to meet the fortunes of Allah in the hereafter and be raised among the righteous.

Muhammed Ibrahim Alkali, a lawmaker representing the Lafia north constituency in the Nasarawa state house of assembly, has also sent his condolence message to the governor, describing Hassan's death as a shock.
He said the death of the governor's son is a colossal loss to Nasarawa state and Nigerians at large.
This lawmaker's statement reads;
“I share my deep condolences with His Excellency, Engr Abdullahi A. Sule, over the passing of his beloved son Alh. Hassan. I pray that Allah (SWT) grants him Aljanatul Firdaus and comfort his family” the statement.”
Tragedy as PDP governorship candidate in Abia dies
Legit.ng earlier reported that the PDP governorship flagbearer in Abia state, Professor Uchenna Ikonne, has died after suffering from a brief illness.
According to a statement from his son, Chikezie Uche-Ikonne, the governorship hopeful just returned from the UK where he had received treatment and was getting better.
However, the professor relapsed and was confronted with multiple cardiac arrests in which he could not survive.
