List of Southeast APC Party Chieftains Who Refused to Attend Tinubu’s Enugu Rally

  • Some southeast APC chieftains have boycotted the party's rally in Enugu state over what can be described as an internal crisis
  • Some of the APC chieftains include minister of foreign affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, and former president of the Senate, Ken Nnamani, among others
  • Meanwhile, the aggrieved members insisted that their support will always be for the party's presidential candidate Tinubu

In what can be described as the escalation of the crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu, major party stakeholders boycotted the APC presidential campaign rally in the state.

Recall that the presidential candidate of the party, Bola Tinubu, was in the state to flag off his campaign, Daily Trust reports.

  2. Former president of the Senate, Ken Nnamani
  3. Former governor of the state, Sullivan Chime
  4. Former speaker of the state House of Assembly, Eugene Odoh
  5. Former Secretary to the state government, Chief Onyemuche Nnamani
  6. Director-general of Voice of Nigeria, Osita Okechukwu
  7. Immediate past chairman of the party in the state, Ben Nwoye
  8. Presidential aide, Juliet Ibekaku.

However, the aggrieved party leaders described Tinubu as a good candidate, assuring stakeholders that they would work for his victory in the presidential election.

Meanwhile, unknown gunmen have killed four persons on Nzomiwu street in Eziani community, Ihiala local government area of Anambra state.

The gunmen invaded the community on Tuesday, January 10 and started shooting into the air, thereby killing the victims - three males and a female, who was said to be pregnant.

The reason for the attack could not be ascertained, but a source quoted in the report said the gunmen immediately fled the scene after killing the victims.

Lawyer based in Ebonyi state shot dead in Anambra

Recall that a commissioner in the Ebonyi state House of Assembly commission, Barrister Leonard Chibuzor Alegu, was recently shot dead in Anambra state by unknown gunmen.

The incident occurred in the late hours of Saturday, December 17, 2022, along the Enugu-Onitsha expressway, in Umunya community, Oyi local government area of Anambra state.

The deceased was travelling from Abakaliki to Onitsha to attend a child dedication when the incident occurred.
