Governor El-Rufai Happy, Says There Is Improved Security in Kaduna, Praises Nigerian Air Force

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has been praised by Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state.
Specifically, he praised the gallantry performance of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) in restoration of relative peace in the state.
In a statement made available to Legit.ng, the governor gave the commendation today, 6 January 2023 when he paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Oladayo Amao in his office at Headquarters NAF, Abuja.
Governor El-Rufai said in the last 3 months, there has been a significant improvement in the security situation in the state.

According to him, several terrorists' commanders have been neutralized by the NAF while the remnants have relocated from the state.
He said:
“On behalf of the Government and people of Kaduna State, I came to thank the Chief of the Air Staff, Branch Chiefs, Air Officers Commanding, officers and men of the Nigerian Air Force for the excellent work done and still being done in Kaduna State. The security situation in our State and environs has improved drastically. Please keep up the excellent work."
CAN scores FG low over failure to neutralise terrorists in southern Kaduna
Meanwhile, following the invasion of two communities in the Kaura local government of Kaduna state by terrorists, the state chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has expressed displeasure over the attack, which led to the killing of 20 people.
In a statement made available to journalists on Tuesday, December 20, the state CAN chairman, Joseph Hayab, condemned the killings perpetrated by terrorists in Kaura local government.
Hayab stated that the Sunday, December 18 attack indicates that terrorists have not been neutralized in the southern part of Kaduna.

During the visit, Tinubu who is also the Jagaban of Borgu reiterated his commitment to improving insecurity in the area, the North-west and in all parts of Nigeria. Birnin Gwari is one of the most attacked areas by non-state actors in Kaduna state.
Residents and travellers have suffered loss of loved ones due to persistent killings, maiming, and destruction meted on them by terrorists in the last six years.
The attack and killings have drastically reduced due to activities of the Nigerian military and other security operatives operating in the area and other parts of the state.
