Good News for Peter Obi As South South Elders, Stakeholders Move Against Tinubu

In what can bee seen as a bad sign for the candidacy of Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), some elders, stakeholders and a coalition of socio-political and professional groups in the Niger Delta have begun moves to sensitise and galvanise the electorate in the region on the choice of a candidate for the 2023 election.

The South-South leaders are not happy with the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari who they claimed neglected the region, Vanguard Newspaper reports.

In a statement by spokesperson of the coalition, James Komobila, the group explained that its stance against APC and its presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, resulted from the brazen acts of disdain and deprivation perpetrated against the Niger Delta people in the over seven years of the party’s administration at the national level.

Meanwhile, some Nigerians are refusing to criticise Professor Chukwuma Soludo, governor of Anambra state, over his recent letter about the ambition of Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP).
