- Gunmen have abducted the wife of Deputy Commandant Apollos Dan-Daura in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa state
- The commander’s younger brother was also shot in the process and he is currently receiving treatment

The wife to the Commander of the Commandant General’s Special intelligence Squad, Deputy Commandant Apollos Dandaura, was Kidnapped Wednesday evening and his younger brother shot in Lafia, the capita of Nasarawa State.
The younger brother of Deputy Commandant, Apollos Dandaura, is currently receiving treatment at a private Hospital in Lafia and is said to be responding to treatment.
The Commander’s wife was kidnapped around Shenge area of Lafia, the capital city of Nasarawa State.
When Contacted, Public Relations Officer of the Nasarawa State Command of NSCDC, Jerry Victor, who confirmed the incident in a telephone conversation said however that the where about of the victim was still unknown.

Kuje attack: Family of slain NSCDC personnel receives donation from FG
The family of late Inspector of Corps Ilyasu Abraham received a gift of N2.8 million from the Federal Government.
The monetary gift was handed to the Abraham family by the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ahmed Abubakar Audi.
Audi said the money is in fulfilment of his promise to ensure that necessary compensation is given to the family of the IC who was killed during an attack in Kuje prison facility in due time.
Civil Defense discovers huge dump site for stolen crude Oil in Rivers
In another development, the fight against oil theft in Nigeria boosted on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, with the discovery of a huge dump site used to store illegal crude oil and refined petroleum products in the Agbada Community in River State.
The discovery is the latest in Nigeria’s fight against oil theft, illegal refineries and pipeline vandalism in the Niger Delta region which has crippled the country’s earnings from crude oil.
According to reports, about ten plots of fenced dump sites with 170 surface industrial tanks of 1,000 litres each and two metal storage tanks of about 5,500 capacity, less than two kilometres from the community near Heirs Oil and Gas. The NSCDC Commandant in Rivers State, Michael Ogar confirmed this to journalists and said the Command’s Anti-vandal unit found the premises following a tip-off.
