BREAKING: Thief carts away $75,000 at APC headquarters as money went missing in a flash

A criminal had his way at the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress on Wednesday, April 27 when he stole about N43,000,000.
According to Punch Newspaper, the sum of $75,000 went missing when there party member struggles to gain entrance to the party premises.
Speaking on the missing $75,000, a party source insisted that the missing money was in no way connected to the monies from sale of nomination and expression of interest forms.
He was quoted to have said:

“It’s actually $75,000. You know there was a struggle at the gate when aspirants and supporters were trying to get in.
“When the parcel of money dropped, it went missing in a flash. By the time security operatives were alerted the thief had vanished with the envelope."
It's getting serious as ex-speaker Bankole joins 2023 presidential race
Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that in what can be termed as another big surprise, former House of Representatives Speaker Hon. Dimeji Bankole has joined the presidential race on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to a close ally of the former Speaker, Malam Abdullahi Bayero, Bankole is in the race and he is contesting on the platform of the ruling party.
He said:
“He has met with various stakeholders and their support is overwhelming, especially across the North. So, he is set to buy the APC nomination form next week.
“Many see him as someone who ticked all the boxes as far as having a young, smart, competent and patriotic president is concerned."
2023 presidency: APC may disqualify Amaechi, Ngige, others
If care is not taken, top All Progressives Congress political appointees contesting the 2023 elections who have not resigned their appointments might be disqualified.
It is believed that the ruling party would not risk being disqualified by fielding political appointees in contravention of Section 84 (12), Punch Newspaper reports.
Political appointees who have signified their interest to contest the presidency on the platform of the APC included the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, and his counterpart for Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige.
