Prof. Nnaji emphasized the need for the government to prioritize the welfare of its citizens.

He noted that the event and award ceremony is mostly held yearly or quarterly to honour certain individuals that are impacting the lives of Nigerians.

Speaking about the personality of the awardee, the CEO A.F.F Landport Global Estate, Prof. Chijioke Divine Osim, said:

“This man has been very benevolent and he is a man that if he crosses your path, you must smile, and we felt as a school we should identify with him and honor him.
"We honoured him so that he can do more. When a person is doing well, you praise him and he will do more, and that is what we have done. We have exposed him to the world. He is bettering the lives of people."

Turning his focus to the country's economic woes, Prof. Nnaji highlighted the exacerbating impact of insecurity on the economy.

He said:

"The economic crisis is not a new thing, but Nigeria's has become worse because of insecurity. Farmers can't go to the farm for fear of being kidnapped."

Drawing comparisons with other countries, Nnaji suggested that Nigeria could benefit from mechanized farming.

He said:

"A country like Israel does mechanized farms. Even Ukraine, which is fighting a war, is also trying to help Nigeria. We are backward. Why don't we empower the farmers?
“These monies are being stolen; they can use it to establish mechanized farming and there will be food in Nigeria, and that is what we are saying. Nobody is listening to us.
"The government wants to politicize everything. With mechanized farming, the issue of hunger would be gone. We can't be depending on oil. Those days are gone."

Prof. Nnaji expressed hope for the new government and urged it to address corruption and improve the living conditions of the poor.

He said:

"We have a new government now; we pray that they have the masses in their heart. Let them allow the poor to breathe. We are suffering because of corruption in this country. We are expecting that the ones that are coming up will fight it very well."

Also speaking, Prof. Chijioke Divine Osim, while recounting some of his efforts in ensuring that Nigerians are lifted from poverty, also called on the church and the government to join in the fight against poverty.

He said:

“I am helping people. I am not talking stories. I am the only one that is dashing out lands so that those who can afford owning properties can afford one because property business is the biggest business on earth so we are practically making the poor ones to rise and I believe you can rise from zero to hero.

“Every one is prosperous because God never made a poor person. So, the government should see it from my eyes, hear my voice and create opportunities for people and the church should do the same.
