Abuja- President Muhammdu Buhari has nominated Mr. Muazu Jaji Sambo from Taraba state as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
The Nation reports that Senate President Ahmad Lawan read Buhari’s letter urging the Senate to screen and confirm the nominee for an appointment during plenary on Tuesday morning, December 14.
Sambo replaces the former Minister of Power, Sale Mamman, who was sacked in September, along with Sabo Nanono, ex-agriculture minister, The Punch added.
President Buhari makes three new appointments
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported days after sacking two ministers from his cabinet, President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointments of three new chief executives for some agencies under the federal ministry of education.

It was reported that that the new appointments in the education ministry were disclosed by a spokesperson for the ministry, Bem Goong, in a statement on Wednesday, September 8.
The spokesperson stated that all the three appointments took effect from September 2 and would each be for an initial tenure of five years.
Drama as Nigerian Senator appoints 18 special assistants in one day
In another news, the lawmaker representing Sokoto North senatorial district at the upper legislative chamber, Abuja, Senator Aliyu Wamakko, has appointed new special assistants.
It was reported that Wamakko, who was a former governor of the state, said that the special assistants were appointed in order to facilitate the delivery of dividends of democracy to his constituents.
He said that the new appointments were also aimed at further reducing unemployment in the state.
The governor also promised that more special assistants would come on board in the nearest future as he strives to better the lots of his constituents.
Wamakko, who is the chairman, the Senate Committee on Defence, urged the new aides to justify the confidence reposed on them as their appointments were based on merit.
