Five Minutes Operation: Gunmen Break Into Adamawa Hospital, Abduct Medical Doctor
- A medical doctor has been kidnaped by criminals when they broke into his hospital in Adamawa state
- According to report, the victim, Dr Saidu Bala, is the immediate past medical director of Specialist Hospital, Yola
- Meanwhile, the Adamawa state Police spokesman, DSP Sulaiman Nguroje, has confirmed the incident

Nigerians seems to be at the mercies of criminal elements. This is reflected by the recent kidnapping of a medical doctor in Adamawa state.
The gunmen reportedly broke into a hospital in Yola, Adamawa state capital, and abducted the owner, Dr Saidu Bala, Daily Trust reports.
Bala is the immediate past medical director of Specialist Hospital, Yola.
According to a source, the gunmen invaded the hospital after 6pm, when residents had just observed Maghrib prayer.

The source said:
“The gunmen stormed the hospital shortly after Maghrib prayer and shot into the air to scare people away. They then went to Dr. Saidu Bala’s office and took him away. The operation was so fast that it was conducted in less than five minutes,” the source told our correspondent.
Meanwhile, Adamawa State Police spokesman, DSP Sulaiman Nguroje, confirmed the incident.
He said:
“Our men found three used bullet canisters at the scene of the crime and we have immediately deployed men of anti kidnapping squad to rescue the abducted medical practitioner."
Jubilation as 15 abducted victims escape from bandits’ hideout
Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that 15 people who were abducted by bandits Sokoto state have escaped from their abductors.
One of the victims, a technical official who had been kidnapped two weeks ago, works with a firm managing telecommunications mast in Isa local government area. The technical official was forcefully taken by armed men between Isa and Sabon Birni LGAs on his way to check a faulty telecommunication mass, according to a source close to the victim.
The victim was said to have tricked one of the kidnappers who was asked to guard him while other members of the gang went in search of other people to be kidnapped.

Meanwhile, Shafa’atu, a 30-year-old widow has disclosed how she watched her mother, four children and other relatives burn to death during the attack on a commercial vehicle by bandits in Sokoto on Monday, December 6.
The woman was travelling to Kaduna with her children, mother, immediate younger brother, a niece and nephew, when they came under attack by bandits along Sabon Birni-Isa road.
Shafa’atu was at a hospital where she was recuperating from burns sustained from the attack.
