NCC's Executive Secretary, ITF Boss Win Big As 2021 Winds Up
- The leadership of the Industrial Training Fund and the Nigerian Communications Commission are set to receive awards of excellence
- The awards would be given to Sir Joseph Ari and Professor Umar Danbatta by TheNigerian News in Abuja for their impact across the country
- Several dignitaries including the Emir of Kano will also be present at the award ceremony which would take place in Abuja

As the year is coming to an end, two notable Nigerians will be among several others who would be receiving awards of excellence for their services to Nigerians and patriotism to the country.
The two individuals are Professor Umar Danbatta, the executive secretary of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and Sir Joseph Ari, the director-general of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF).
The award would be handed to Messers Danbatta and Ari by a United Kingdom-based media organisation, TheNigerian News.
A statement which was released by the secretary of the award planning committee, Bridget Agada, and seen by Legit.ng on Sunday, December 12, said the two heads of agencies have done extraordinarily well in carrying out the duties.

Agada said the award will be handed over to the dignitaries as part of the organisation's fifth-anniversary celebrations.
She said Ari will be conferred with the 'Icon of Transformation' while Danbatta will be recognised as the 'Icon of Security Innovation'.
Agada said ITF has made numerous contributions in placing Nigeria on the path of steady economic growth and industrialization through human resources development.
She said:
"There's been an emphasis on skills acquisition with the knowledge that it is the most sustainable solution to reducing poverty and unemployment, and the catalyst to growth arid development."
"ITF is now reputed for its proactiveness and farsightedness, which more than anything else accounts for its longevity and relevance."
She also said that Nigerians cannot forget the brainchild of ITF, the maiden made-in-Nigeria phones and how it has positively impacted the economy of the country.
On the part of Danbatta, the company said that the NCC boss has introduced groundbreaking reforms that have positively influenced the war against insecurity.
It noted that owing to the expertise, innovations and foresight of Danbatta, the country is enjoying a new lease of life.
The event, which will be held at the NAF Conference Abuja on Thursday, December 16, will be chaired by the honourable minister of special duties, Senator George Akume while His Royal Highness, the Emir of Kano is the father of the day.

According to National Identity Management Commission(NIMC), as of the end of August, there were at least 63 million unique NIN records in the National Identity Database (NIDB).
In a different report, NCC had explained each unique NIN corresponds to three to four phone lines, implying that approximately 190 million lines have been linked.
The director-general of the NIMC, Mr Aziz Aliyuhe, said they are focusing on attaining the 184 million target set for it by the federal government in the next four years with a monthly target of 5 million enrollments.
