Reports claim about 10 people have been killed when suspected bandits attacked Pinau town in Wase local government area of Plateau state.
According to the reports, scores of others sustained various degrees of injuries on Sunday evening The incident happened after the villagers had finished from their weekly community market, The Nation.
Hamman Sale, who, a member of the community confirmed the development, said the suspected bandits were from Zamfara state.
The spokesperson of the Plateau State Police Command, Gabriel Ubah, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, confirmed the incident.

FG urges Western allies to declare bandits, Boko Haram, IPOB as terrorists
In another report, Legit.ng reported that a call has gone out from the federal government to western alies on the need to declare a bandits as well as Islamic sect, Boko Haram as terrorists.
ThisDay reports that the federal government on Sunday, December 12, urged the western allies to declare bandits, Boko Haram and the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) as terrorists.
Legit.ng gathered that the call was made in a statement issued by President Buhari's senior special assistant on media and publicity, Shehu Garba, noted that this declaration would reduce the funds allocated to the groups.
Commenting on the country's insecurity issues, he said he was doing all within his powers to put an end to the killings throughout the country.
ISWAP abducts unknown number of persons
Legit.ng earlier reported that the Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP) abducted an unknown number of passengers along the Damaturu/Maiduguri expressway.
This followed earlier reports of abduction and killings in the northern region of the country which has for a while now become a daily occurrence.
According to the report, the commuters were traveling to Maiduguri from Damaturu when they were intercepted some few kilometers after Benishiek town.
