“We condemn in the strongest language, the unconscionable Satan-driven sponsored attacks on the person, office, and integrity of Senator Godswill Akpabio CON and demand a public rebuttal and a pledge from the unpatriotic factors to stop the attacks forthwith.
“Sequel to the resolutions of the apex leadership meeting of the Amalgamated Coalition of Niger Delta Enlightenment and Peace Initiative, it was resolved that Senator Akpabio should be yielded space to perform his prescribed constitutional functions.
“For the record, Senator Akpabio’s rich antecedents, pedigree, and trajectory as a former special adviser, commissioner, governor, and senator speak volumes of a tried, proven, and well-tested ability and capacity to lift the ministry from the beaten path of mediocrity to the realm of fulfilling potentialities in tandem with the progressive governance.”
The group called on President Muhammadu Buhari to give Senator Akpabio the requisite and commensurate support:
“to reposition, reengineer and situate the ministry in its pride of place, to concomitantly elevate the common humanity of Niger Deltans in particular and Nigeria in general.”
They commented Senator Akpabio for:
“his extraordinary resilience and adaptability in the face of artificially simulated turbulence and above all, for his commodious governance philosophy refusing to yield to the ten percenters.”
Comrade Maduka added:
“The amalgamated coalition fully condemns the indecent haste by gluttonous failed political factors who are bent on distracting him from his well-articulated vision and mission, to effectuate into a leadership renaissance in the Niger Delta and return it to its master plan with national reverberations.
“We warn that we shall no longer tolerate self-serving unsavoury elements lampooning, blackguarding, and excoriating a worthy fast-rising star in the political leadership firmament of Nigeria and Africa.
“We insist that the minister should be given visionary treatment to enable him to replicate the Akwa Ibom success story veritably encapsulated during his illustrious two terms as governor replete with the many developmental strides, progressive milestones, and peer-reviewed achievements.”
