Ikoyi building collapse: Wife of site engineer cries out, says husband has neither been found or declared dead
- Oladunni says she has been in pains since the 1st of November when her husband left home for work at the site of the collapsed building
- Husband she says has been working on the site as an engineer since July 2021 up till the faithful day of the building collapse
- Oladunni called on the government to expedite actions to unravel the whereabouts or status of her husband
Ikoyi, Lagos - The wife of a site engineer at the Ikoyi high rise building which recently collapsed has cried out over the lack of knowledge of the whereabout of her husband.
Narrating her experience so far to The Punch, she says she needs to know what exactly the status of her husband is.
Legit.ng gathered that the woman identified as Oladunni says she has neither seen her husband or found his body to ascertain his status since the day of the incident.

She said:

‘’He started working on the site since July 2021 and on the day the incident happened, he left the house as early as 5am. I prayed for him when he was leaving and when he got to the site, he called and said, honey, I have gotten to the site.
‘’So that faithful day, I was at my place of work when one of my pastor, Pastor Tayo Ogunbiyi called me. He called asked what the name of the street of the site where my husband works. I told him its Gerard Road, Ikoyi. He then informed me that the building just collapsed.
‘’So he is the one that made me to know and immediately I heard, I was not myself again. So as early as Tuesday, along with my pastors and everybody we were at that point but we were not allowed to go in, but my Pastor later had the opportunity to enter. He then interviewed the food vendor and asked if she knows one Mr. Oladunni and she said yes
She then told him that she saw him when he came down to eat. She said he took the food, washed his hand and just as he was about to start eating, Mr Osibona called him and told him those they were scheduled to have a meeting with had arrived and so he went back in.
She says the woman confirmed that it was not up to five minutes later that the building collapsed.
Oladunni further stated:
‘’And since the first day of November, I’ve not heard anything concerning my husband. They went to hospitals, to the morgue everywhere searching. Till now as I’m talking with you, he has not been seen. The children are asking, where is our father. The relatives have been at Ikoyi, they said they should put down their blood for DNA.
‘’Up till now since they collected the blood, we have not heard from the government at all and I have been in pain since the first of November. I’ve not heard from my husband. I cannot call him, I don’t know his whereabout.'.
''What is the government doing? We are talking about life here. The family is confused. Me that I’m his wife, I don’t know what to do. The church and everybody around are in confusion. With four children. Please the government should come and help me to look for my husband."
What Apostle Suleman said about Osibona
Meanwhile, Legit.ng recently reported that famous Pastor, Apostle Johnson Suleman revealed what killed Femi Osibona, developer of the collapsed building.
It was reported the cleric said that the developer was warned by a young prophet not to erect the structure.
He revealed the young prophet told he (Femi Osibona) that the building will crumble and kill a lot of people but he ignored the warning.
